The aim of this seminar is to provide an overview of the design process and the technical aspects of making audio for non linear media. The emphasis is especially on the creation of interactive audio for videogames, 360 videos and immersive experiences. Hands-on examples will be provided on how to create and implement audio assets within the Unity3D game engine, using the audio middleware FMOD and focusing on the use of spatial audio.
Giacomo Garoffolo is a XR Project Manager and Technical Sound Designer. Giacomo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science applied to Music and he specializes in Music Composition for Film and Game Audio.
For the past 4 years he has been developing immersive experiences for big companies in the fields of Industry 4.0, Architecture, Retail, Entertainment and Healthcare, leading UQIDO's Virtual and Augmented Reality team.
