L'unità di ricerca Ubiquitous Internet dell'Istituto di Informatica e Telematica del CNR di Pisa (IIT-CNR) studia nuovi paradigmi, algoritmi e protocolli per la Next-Generation Internet. In particolare si occupa di molti aspetti che riguardano lo sviluppo ed il funzionamento della rete Internet alle sue estremità, dove i dispositivi personali degli utenti sono i principali attori, rendendo la rete una Internet of People.
L'unità di ricerca applica le soluzioni studiate in diversi ambiti applicativi: dalle Smart Cities ai sistemi per la Mobilità Intelligente, dal Digital Health a Industria 4.0.
Il seminario è mirato a presentare le attività del gruppo con particolare attenzione a soluzioni middleware e applicative basate sull'uso di sensori integrati in smartphone e dispositivi indossabili nel dominio Digital and Mobile Health e relative opportunità di tesi triennali e magistrali.

The Ubiquitous Internet Research Unit of the Institute of Informatics and Telematics of CNR (IIT-CNR), located in Pisa, studies new paradigms, algorithms and protocols for the Next-Generation Internet. Specifically, it focuses on different aspects related to the development and performances of the Internet at the edge, where user personal mobile devices are the main actors, making the network an Internet of People.
The RU applies its research to multiple domains: from Smart cities to Intelligent Mobility Systems, from Digital Health to Industry 4.0.
The seminar will present the unit's research with particular attention to middleware and applications based on the use of smartphone-embedded sensors and wearable sensors in the area of Digital and Mobile Health and related opportunities for bachelor and master thesis.
